The curriculum focuses on oral language development. The class emphasizes vocabulary and structure of the spoken language. This is done through songs, books, games and other activities. When children arrive each afternoon they first prepare and serve a snack as part of their daily lesson. Preparing and serving food is a fun way to reinforce the Spanish language as well as giving the kids energy for this afternoon enrichment program. Academics such as reading, writing and math will not be emphasized, although they will be woven into their activities.
